Creating solvers for tomorrow

Problem

  • Our education system prepares us for rat race which ensues in adulthood. It barely equips us with any problem solving capability, we become more disconnected with communities and problems it faces.
  • As per the India Skills Report 2020, 54 % of young India does not have the skills needed to gain employment and contribute meaningfully to our society and economy.

Our experience with this

Ashwidea along our NGO partner, engages with young people and imparts 21st century skills which they apply to solve real world civic and environmental problems in their communities. The skills we teach young people are the same skills linked to higher work quality as employees. The impact so far

  • 30,000 + youth becoming solvers
  • 6.8 lakh tons of waste diverted by solutions built
  • 450+ Innovations

This is based on our 4-step methodology for problem solving that empowers youth with powerful problem-solving skills at a young age.

It is a multi-skill program where students learn under the guidance of experienced mentors – basic techniques of problem solving:

  • They learn how to become aware of and discover problems
  •  ideate on solutions through trigger mapping techniques
  •  Use rapid prototyping techniques for solutions
  • And then eventually craft workable solutions that are practical and implementable in their local schools/communities.
